PAKSA: Project Wind Turbine of ROMELCO will soon rise!
Project Wind Turbine of ROMELCO will soon rise at the vicinity of Upper Agnay and Upper Lonos Romblon will be compose of three towers and will generate one megawatt of electric power when joined. As of now they are installing their monitoring device which will gather data for the whole year round to check the sustainability of the project.

ROMELCO is very aggressive in pursuing the development of renewable energy project to ensure supply adequacy and dependability in its coverage area in the future. No wonder the General Manager of Romelco Engr. Rene M. Fajilagutan is closely monitoring the development of Project Wind Turbine in Upper Bagacay, Lonos and Agnay Romblon that even the hauling of materials in Boracay last November 18-19, 2016 were given much of his attention. The construction of the towers for the monitoring devices marks Romelco’s engineering touch in its delicate and yet strongest way.

PAKSA: KOMAIHALTEC INC visits ROMELCO
KOMAIHALTEC INC, a company from Japan visited Romblon Electric Cooperative Inc last November 12-13, 2016 to introduce its latest technology in Wind Turbine, another venture of the electric coop in renewable energy.
The staff of the said company was assisted by Romelco staff in putting up monitoring devices at Upper Bagacay to test the wind velocity in the area.

The Romblon Electric Cooperative Inc (ROMELCO) management and staff gathered themselves at Romelco Headquarters in Barangay Capaclan Romblon, Romblon on (Saturday) November 5, 2016 for a proper briefing and instruction of the new coop’s Balance Scorecard. GM Rene M. Fajilagutan discussed the rationale of the said program and believes that balance scoring of the employees performance will help achieve the coops target in the future. The strategic plans to achieve coops dream by the year 2025 were discussed by the department heads namely Engr. Basilio Diaz of Technical Department, Betty C. Corong of Finance Department and Peter Morante of Institutional Department.

Romelco Information Officer Alma Baron Regala lobby at the special session of Poblacion Barangay 3, Romblon, Barangay Council last October 31, 2016 to introduce and explain further the positive impact in supporting the Development of a Sustainable Philippine National Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Funding Mechanism for Electric Cooperative.
It aims to create a funding from the national government that will support the rehabilitation and restoration of calamity stricken electric cooperatives under the National Electrification Administration (NEA). Romelco receives full support from all the baragay council of Romblon by providing a barangay resolutions supporting the said program.

Romelco’s Technical Department is conducting a right of way clearing today October 28, 2016 before transferring a 3-Phase Distribution Line in Sitio Cahuyong Barangay Ginablan, Romblon that was affected by road widening. The construction is headed by Foreman Roberto G. Palomata and expected to finish by end of this week.

PAKSA: Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) visits ROMELCO
Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) visits Romelco last October 18-21, 2016 to check the billing meters of the National Power Corporation-SPUG power plants as well as the cooperatives calibrating machines.
Sir Glen De Jesus and Sir Ronnie Albano of ERC was assisted by Romelco Operation and Maintenance Section Head Engr. Dimar Sy and Meter Calibrator and Special Tool Equipment Jonathan Martinez during their four (4) day inspection. They visited NPC-SPUG in Banton, NPC San Fernando, NPC Romblon, Romblon and also the Solar Hybrid in Cobrador. The accuracy of the said equipments is the main purpose of the inspection.
