Representatives of Department of Energy in the person of Messers Joselito Calip, Roberto Dolojan and Miss Mercy Dio visited Romelco last October 5-7, 2016 to properly coordinate the implementation of household electrification using biomass system in Sitio Bagong Silang Barangay Alad, Romblon.

 

The group conducted informational dissemination to the residents of Sitio Bagong Silang and attended sessions of the Barangay Council of Alad.

KEA once again visits ROMELCO

PAKSA: The Korea Energy Agency (KEA) once again visits ROMELCO

 

 

The Korea Energy Agency (KEA) once again visits Romelco last September 27 to October 1, 2016 to conduct interview and documentary report regarding the Solar Hybrid Power Plant in Barangay Cobrador, Romblon, Romblon.

 

The team headed by Sir Byun, Jo Min Public Relation Division Mass Communication Team Producer and Contents Director of KEA (middle) lead the interview to locals of Brgy Cobrador particularly the educators, fisherman’s and barangay officials who happens to cite the positive effect of having a 24-hour electric service in thier island barangay.

 

The said documentary will be feature in KEA’s Facebook page and YouTube via Solar Hybrid Power Plant Projects. It will be aired also at a local channel downtown Seoul Korea to highlight the positive effect of the power plant being a renewable one hybridized with diesel genset.

ROMELCO tapped EWPSI

PAKSA: ROMELCO TAPPED (EWPSI)

 

 

The Romblon Electric Cooperative Inc. (ROMELCO) is not stopping in finding ways on how to make the payment of monthly electric bills more easy during due dates.

 

Romelco tapped Electronic Way and Professionals Services Inc. (EWPSI) to design another program that will answer some of the consumers concerns. Mr. Delfin Caching, EWPSI Consultant installed the new Customer Assistance Kiosk that will address the numbering system during payment, printing of customer statement of account in case consumer lost it, printing of customer ledger to answer queries regarding thier payment history.

 

A customer operated machine will be installed inside Romelco office that will soon features Dropbox for electric bill payments that will cater to customers fast phase lifestyle. Although the system is still subject for testing and initial operation, the coop looks forward for the success of the program for much better service to it’s member consumer.

PAKSA: MASSIVE INFORMATIONAL DISSEMINATION

 

Nagsagawa ng massive informational dissemination noong August 26, 2016 sa isla ng Cobrador ang mga kawani ng Romelco sa pangunguna ng Institutional Department nito upang lalo pang pag igtingin ang kaalaman ng mga residente dito sa operasyon ng Solar Hybrid. Binigyang diin sa meeting ang pag iingat sa pag clearing ng mga punong malapit sa linya na naging sanhi ng pagkasira ng isang piyesa sa inverter ng planta ng solar hybrid. Hiningi sa mga residente ang kanilang kooperasyon upang hindi sila maabala sa kanilang pang araw-araw na gawain sakaling magkaroon ng aberya sa operasyon ng kuryente sa isla. Buong puso naman nilang tinanggap ang mga payo ng Romelco lalong lalo na at kaagapay na nila ang kuryente sa kanilang pamumuhay.

Announcement regarding the Solar Hybrid Power Plant in Brgy. Cobrador

PAKSA: PAGBABAGO SA OPERASYON NG KURYENTE SA SOLAR HYBRID POWER PLANT SA BRGY. COBRADOR

 

Nagkaroon ng pagbabago sa operasyon ng kuryente sa Solar Hybrid Power Plant sa Brgy. Cobrador magsimula Agosto 18 hanggang Agosto 22, 2016 dahil sa linyang nabagsakan ng puno na pinutol ng mga residente doon na hindi humingi ng tulong sa Romelco at walang naging koordinasyon sa koop kung saan naging sanhi naman ng pagkasunog ng isang mahalagang piyesa sa inverter ng planta. Ang dating biente kuwatro oras na kuryente (24-hrs)ay naging dose oras (12-hrs) na lamang (6:00pm to 6:00am) dahil sa hindi naka pagsagawa ng operasyon ang solar kundi ang diesel genset lamang.
Sa kasalukuyan ay naibalik na din ang 24-hrs na serbisyo ng kuryente sa isla ngunit inu obserbahan pa ang operasyon nito ng Korean Energy Administration (KIA) sapagkat hindi biro ang halaga ng piyesang pinalit nila dito.

Ang brownout po nuong August 21, 2016 Linggo sa Munisipyo ng Romblon magmula alas nwebe ng umaga hanggang alas dose ng tanghali ay scheduled brownout po dahil nagsagawa po ng line maintenance sa linya ng Romelco. Ipinaalam po ito sa lahat apektadong consumers noong Biernes August 19, 2016 ng umaga hanggang hapon sa pamamagitan ng Bandillo System kung saan umiikot po sa mga lugar na maaapektuhan ng mga kawani ng Romelco.

National Electrification Awareness Month

Nation celebrates National Electrification Awareness Month

 

Kick-off activities were held on July 11 as NEA launched the Recycling Contest, followed by the celebration of NEA Family Day on July 31.
On August 1, NEA formally opened the Rural Electrification Exhibit at the ground floor lobby which showcases some of the historical highlights, photos and trivia relating to the Rural Electrification and the pioneers of the Program. It also unveiled the enhanced “Great Wall of NEA” which displays the accomplishments of the agency through the years.
The 18th NEA-ECs Consultative Conference held on August 2 was attended by 409 representatives from 104 electric cooperatives (ECs) all over the country. The main highlight of the month-long celebration is a ceremonial Switch-on for the 9th Million Consumer Connection which will be held at the PTTC on August 3 during the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association (PHILRECA) Convention. The ceremony will be graced by Energy Secretary and NEA Board Chair Jose Rene D. Almendras.
Several other activities scheduled within the month include the R.E. Games, a wellness fair, outreach program, cinema watch and women’s forum.
On August 5, NEA will celebrate its 42nd Anniversary, with the theme “NEA-ECs: Walang Hanggang Paglilingkod sa Sambayanan”. “We are very happy to be celebrating our 42nd anniversary. After all the uncertainties that we have faced, we are still here, as strong and as united as ever. Our relationship with our ECs continues to flourish and we are ready to take the challenges of the program to be able to serve our fellow Filipinos in the far flung rural areas”, said Administrator Edita S. Bueno.
The culminating activity will be a nationwide tree planting on August 31 which will be participated in by the ECs.

PROCLAMATION NO. 1743

 

DECLARING AUGUST OF EVERY YEAR AS “NATIONAL ELECTRIFICATION AWARENESS MONTH”

 

WHEREAS, total electrification is a national policy and is one of the government’s 10-point Agenda;

 

WHEREAS, the National Electrification Administration (NEA) together with the 119 Electric Cooperatives (ECs) nationwide, pursues the mandate of total electrification;

 

WHEREAS, NEA and the ECs play major roles in setting up a conducive environment for socio-economic development in the countryside;

 

WHEREAS, there is a need to create public awareness through intensified information campaign showcasing electrification programs and projects: (i) 8 million consumer-connections reached within the ECs franchise areas; (ii) 100% town/cities electrified; and (iii) 98% barangays energized, leaving 2% for energization this year;

 

WHEREAS, these programs and projects provide the necessary stimulus packages for livelihood and business opportunities to flourish, thereby improving the quality of life of the Filipinos in the rural areas;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare August of every year as the “National Electrification Awareness Month”, to coincide with the anniversary of the National Electrification Administration, and do hereby enjoin all government corporations, government agencies, private electric distribution utilities, including the electric cooperatives to participate actively in the observance of this event and to give full publicity and recognition to the vital significance of the electrification program in nation building.

 

Local government units are likewise encourage to participate in the celebration and activities.
