PAKSA: Magkakaroon po ng pangtaas ng singil ng kuryente sa ilalim ng “Universal Charge NPC-Stranded Debt (UC-NPC-SC)”
Nais naming ipaalam sa lahat ng member-consumer ng Romblon Electric Cooperative Inc (ROMELCO) na magkakaroon po ng pangtaas ng singil ng kuryente sa ilalim ng “Universal Charge NPC-Stranded Debt (UC-NPC-SC)” na nagkakahalaga ng P 0.0265 per kilowatt hour. Ang pagtaas na ito ay naaayon sa Order ng Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) sa ERC Case No. 2013-195 RC Universal Charge -NPC Stranded Debt na inilabas noong June 27, 2017 base na rin sa petisyon ng Power Assets and Liabilities Management Corp (PSALM) na isinumite noong October 1, 2013 sa ERC upang mabawi ang P 24,198,852,235.17 bilyong pisong naga ayos sa operasyon at pagmintina ng NPC ng taong 2011-2012. Ang P 0.0265 per kilowatt hour ay ipapataw ngayong singilang buwan ng August 2017 at magtatagal ng siyam (9) taong pagrekober.
Gayundin naman, pinahintulutan din ng ERC ang ekstensiyon ng pagkolekta ng “Universal Charge -NPC Stranded Contract Cost (UC-NPC-SCC)” na nagkakahalaga ng P 0.1938 per kilowatt hour. Ito naman ay naaayon sa pinagsamang ERC Case Nos 2013-160 RC at 2014-111 RC o Universal Charge -NPC Stranded Contract Cost (UC-NPC-SCC) na inilabas noong July 6, 2017 base na rin sa aplikasyon ng PSALM sa ERC na isinumite noong July 31, 2013 (ERC Case 2013-160 RC) at July 30, 2014 (ERC Case 2014-111 RC). Ang ekstensiyon na binigay sa PSALM para sa patuloy na koleksiyon ng naturang halaga ay sampung (10) buwan.
Para po sa inyong kaalaman, ang mga “Universal Charges” kagaya ng UC-NPC-SC at UC-NPC-SCC ay sinisingil ng lahat ng mga “electric cooperatives” at mga “private distributor utilities” sa buong Pilipinas sa lahat ng kanilang mga konsumedores at i-reremit din sa PSALM bilang responsableng ahensiya ng gobyerno na mag “recover” ng mga halagang ginamit sa pagmintina ng operasyon ng National Power Corporation (NPC). Ang mga panahong ipinahintulot ng ERC sa PSALM upang kolektahin sa mga konsumedores ang mga halagang nabanggit ay upang mabawasan ang mahabang panahon ng pangongolekta nito at maibsan ang malakas na epekto nito sa mga consumer.

The Romblon Electric Cooperative Inc (ROMELCO) conducted another massive information dissemination in the municipality of Corcuera that started last July 9-11, 2017 to provide updates of the current operation of the cooperative in the area. The informational team headed by Institutional Manager Peter Morante visits all the barangay and provided membership assistance to all member consumers as well as proper information of the coops rates, technique to lessen system losses that includes massive changes of defective kWh meter, proper right of way clearance of distribution lines and transformer installation. The beloved Mayor Rachel Banarez of the municipality of Corcuera was very supportive to the activity joining hands to Romelco’ project para sa pag uswar pa ng Simara. (moving forward of Corcuera)

PAKSA: ROMELCO is currently working on the power plant of the Biomass Gasifier in Sitio Bagong Silang Barangay Alad Romblon, Romblon
Variety of renewable energy are taking its toll in the coverage area of the Romblon Electric Cooperative Inc (ROMELCO) to realize the coops mission in delivering efficient, affordable and reliable clean electric service to all member consumer. ROMELCO is currently working on the power plant of the Biomass Gasifier in Sitio Bagong Silang Barangay Alad Romblon, Romblon that will soon provide electric service to almost 50 household in the said Sitio. The technology that will be operating in the power plant will use bana grass and coconut husk as fuel to their generator that will soon serve as potential source of livelihood in the barangay itself. The project started last July 12, 2017 and will soon provide electric service to the residents by end of this year as projected in the time table.

PAKSA: The Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) of ROMELCO is grinding once again
The Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) of ROMELCO is grinding once again. Top in the coop’s list is the Sitio Balao in Barangay Lonos Romblon that happened to be delayed from its previous date of commencement because of the problem in the right of way. Just recently the concerned owners of the properties permitted the passing of distribution lines in their place. A massive right of way clearing was conducted in the said Sitio last July 20, 2017 as well as the training of their future meter reader collector in the area. A minimum of 50 household is waiting for the said project to be energize before the end of September 2017.

Another Sitio Electrification Program “Palibreng Pakuryente” was awarded to the residents of Sitio Balao in Barangay Lonos Romblon, Romblon. Institutional Department headed the members education in orienting the new applicants regarding their benefits, rights and responsibilities being new breed of coops member consumers. Yesterday July 12, 2014 Information Officer/Bapa Coordinator Alma Regala conducted the seminar and briefing to the people of Sitio Balao and gave highlight to the Electric Consumer Association (ECA) that will soon operate in their sitios. The meeting received a positive feedback from the recipients itself as they also gave their full support in the program.

PAKSA: A plant tour was prepared for the MSEAC of District 4, San Fernando last June 23, 2017
A plant tour was prepared for the Multi Sectoral Electrification Advisory Council (MSEAC) of District 4 (San Fernando) today June 23, 2017 after their quarterly meeting in the resort hub of the Cantingas Hydro Power Plant in Brgy Taclobo San Fernando Romblon. The tour was headed by Engr Nathaniel Ong Plant Supervisor of CHPC. The activity was an eye opener for the MSEAC members on how the Cantingas Hydro operates and provides electric power to the people of Sibuyan Island. It was ended a very productive day for all the representatives of MSEAC because the tour serves as the highlight of today’s activity for them.

The Multi Sectoral Electrification Advisory Council (MSEAC) of Romblon Electric Cooperative Inc (ROMELCO) in District’s of Magdiwang, Cajidiocan and San Fernando Romblon just opened their council for their very first quarterly meeting yesterday and today (June 22 to 23, 2017) in their respective municipalities. Information Officer Alma Baron Regala assisted the officials of MSEAC in reviewing their duties and responsibilities to become an effective representative of their sector in the coop, to help in the empowerment of consumers and a better communication channel of the cooperative. All the meetings in the three districts ended with a bang and an overwhelming positive comments in the part of the MSEAC members.
